Ecolab is proud to partner with McDonald’s, providing innovative and durable products to help keep McDonald’s 1000+ Australian restaurants clean and hygienic for customers and crew.

From product development initiatives to hands-on store level training, Ecolab operates with the goal to help make the world a cleaner, safer and healthier place. 

McDonald’s uses a range of Ecolab products and programmes to clean floors and sanitise the kitchen and restaurant, including DURALOC™ and KAY® SolidSense™ products. 

SolidSense products are solid blocks of cleaning product, instead of liquid or powder. The blocks are placed in an Ecolab dispenser, which is auto-dosed to ensure optimal water use.

“SolidSense helps save water and reduce packaging when transporting cleaning products necessary for sanitising the stores,” said Phil Chapman, Corporate Account Manager, Quick Service Restaurants, Ecolab. “It also ensures safe practices by minimising the need to manually handle cleaning products.”

Says Paul Rawding, Market Head, Ecolab Australia: “Ecolab worked closely with McDonald’s to maintain the highest standards of hygiene practices throughout the pandemic, keeping customers and crew safe and restaurants clean and sanitised.”

For hard-surface cleaning, McDonald’s is using ECOLAB® Peroxide Multi Surface Cleaner and Disinfectant, which is listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) and has been proven to kill various bacteria, fungi and viruses, including COVID-19.

Ecolab has also assisted with deep cleaning, in accordance with all legislative COVID guidelines. 

McDonald’s and Ecolab will continue to work together on new opportunities to introduce high quality, safe and environmentally-friendly products to restaurants.
