Ecolab Introduces Solutions to Help Foodservice Customers Reduce Food Safety and Public Health Risks

May 19, 2017

CHICAGO May 19, 2017 Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources, offers three new solutions focused on food safety and public health to help customers reduce risk and protect their brand.

“Our customers rely on us to help address food safety and public health challenges and improve operational efficiency, which also helps to lower their total cost of operation,” said Bob Sherwood, Ecolab executive vice president and general manager for Institutional North America. “Our integrated approach leverages innovation, personally delivered service, training and the latest research and actionable insights to help reduce risks and protect our customers’ operations.”

Ecolab No Rinse Food Contact Cleaner Sanitizer[1]

Ecolab’s No Rinse Food Contact Cleaner Sanitizer helps improve food safety compliance by providing protection against a variety of contributing factors to foodborne illnesses, including E. coli and Listeria[2]. It also simplifies cleaning procedures with fewer steps, helping to improve staff efficiency by reducing cleaning time.

EcoSure® CORE Food Safety Programme

EcoSure’s CORE Food Safety Programme helps customers protect their guests, employees and reputation from foodborne illness and other food safety related risks. The CORE programme (comprehensive on-site risk evaluation) offers an integrated approach through on-site assessments, expert food safety coaching and training, dedicated account management, data-driven insights with recommended corrective actions and solutions. The programme also provides access to a variety of expert tools and resources, such as a food safety resource line, webinars, industry benchmarking, newsletters and readiness kits.

EcoSure® Norovirus Control Programme

The EcoSure Norovirus Control Programme provides education, training and tools to help foodservice establishments protect their guests, employees and brand against norovirus. The programme includes both outbreak prevention and incident response tools to help drive behavior change and minimise risk against foodborne illness. EcoSure partners with companies across the foodservice industry to educate managers on the risks, causes and best practices for norovirus prevention and response, and equips staff with essential information and practical tools to prevent and respond to a norovirus event.

“According to the U.S. Centres for Disease Control (CDC), a significant portion of the contributing factors to foodborne illness centre around personal hygiene and operational procedures,” said Dr. Ruth Petran, vice president of Food Safety and Public Health at Ecolab. “These new solutions help address those areas directly and help foodservice operations to develop and implement proven preventive controls.”
