Ecolab Foundation Partners with Wine to Water to Provide Clean Water to 17,000 People Globally on World Water Day

Friday, March 15, 2019 -- Ecolab Foundation and Wine To Water have partnered together in celebration of World Water Day to create a global impact for clean water through sponsoring and assembling 1,700 filters. The filter uses the same technology as kidney dialysis to filter out 99.99999% of harmful bacteria which causes water-borne illnesses. Each filter will provide clean water to up to 10 people for 10 years, which means that 17,000 people will receive clean water as a direct impact from these events. Approximately 850 Ecolab employees from nine international offices will gather together for a fun, inspiring, hands-on CSR filter build experience where volunteers will engage in education around the global water crisis and play a integral role in transforming communities around the world through clean water. Following these events, the filters will be distributed to the global field through Wine To Water Field Offices, Implementing Partners, and in response to natural disasters. Ecolab is creating a generational impact for families and communities around the world and water is just the beginning!
